Whether you are on a short or long journey, or traveling through any type of environment, wearing a helmet is mandatory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Penalties for Non-Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A fine of up to 2,000 THB per person will be imposed if you are found not wearing a helmet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If both the rider and the passengerare not wearing helmets, the fine may reach up to 4,000 THB.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Targeted Enforcement Areas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authorities will strictly monitor the following locations:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; High-traffic zones<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Areas with frequent accidents<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; School and university zones<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Why This Matters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Motorcycle accidents are one of the leading causes of death in Thailand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wearing a helmet can:Reduce the risk of head injury by up to 72%<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Potentially reduce motorcycle-related deaths by **up to 40%<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Report Violations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Traffic Police Hotline: 1197<\/li>\n<li>Highway Police Hotline: 1193<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>https:\/\/rightsbeyondborder.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Helmet-Law-300&#215;200.webp Helmet Law 2025 \u2013 Thailand The Royal Thai Police has launched the Safe Roads Project, effective from June 1, 2025, to enhance road safety across the country.
